We work with what already exists. Reclaimed leathers — surplus, discontinued skins, forgotten deadstock — originally produced for the luxury industry and left unused, bound for collecting dust in landfills.
These materials are often overlooked. But not by us. We see in them history, quality, and life too. Each skin is different, carrying its own character, tone, and behaviour. It asks to be understood, not forced. This is exactly what the craftswomen and men at our atelier do – with technique and precision examine, draft and craft, and do it all over again as many times as needed.
This nature of reclaimed material keeps us attentive and creative. No two hides respond the same way, which means design and execution remain fluid — shaped by the material rather than imposed upon it. Scarcity becomes part of the process, guiding us toward limited series that are intentional and never repeated.
"The lack of means, the constraints force us to find solutions that are artistically and emotionally more effective than when you have a surplus of means."
Alexandre de Betak
This is not about excess or replacement. It is about extending what already exists — with care, accountability, and respect — and allowing materials to continue their story, quietly and responsibly.
